About Us
Incorporated under the Malaysia Companies Act in July 2020, Urbanest operates on a social-enterprise model with vulnerable-underserved-urban-B40community at the core. We strive towards an equitable and cohesive urban community using evidence based research, design and innovation to inspire and implement practical solutions to transform urban livelihoods systems.
We work in collaboration with various stakeholders t implement programs with practical solutions for B40 urban community to break out of the vicious cycle of urban poverty. We have deep conviction that an empowered community and environmental sustainability are keys toward eradicating urban poverty whilst shaping healthy urban livelihoods systems

Founding Year
Year 2020, in the midst of global pandemic, Urbanest embarked on a mission to empower local communities
Edu Green Centre
Year 2021, Urbanest forged strategic partnership with MBSP and UPSI to establish Edu Green Centre.
Going Global
Year 2022, Urbanest partnered with international organizations to build capacity of Malaysian Youth.
Kebun LeSTARi
Year 2023, Urbanest partnered with local CSO to establish ‘Kebun LeSTARi’ community farms to strengthen community empowerment
