About Us

Incorporated under the Malaysia Companies Act in July ​2020, Urbanest operates on a social-enterprise model ​with vulnerable-underserved-urban-B40community at the ​core. We strive towards an equitable and cohesive urban ​community using evidence based research, design and ​innovation to inspire and implement practical solutions to ​transform urban livelihoods systems.


We work in collaboration with various stakeholders t ​implement programs with practical solutions for B40 ​urban community to break out of the vicious cycle of ​urban poverty. We have deep conviction that an ​empowered community and environmental sustainability ​are keys toward eradicating urban poverty whilst shaping ​healthy urban livelihoods systems

Founding Year

Year 2020, in the midst of global ​pandemic, Urbanest embarked on ​a mission to empower local ​communities

Edu Green Centre

Year 2021, Urbanest forged ​strategic partnership with MBSP ​and UPSI to establish ​Edu Green Centre.

Going Global

Year 2022, Urbanest partnered ​with international organizations ​to build capacity of Malaysian ​Youth.

Kebun LeSTARi

Year 2023, Urbanest partnered ​with local CSO to establish ​‘Kebun LeSTARi’ community ​farms to strengthen community ​empowerment
